past all the pain of the battles fought
they meet again on a path less sought
flashback starts and they are reminded of all the scars
standing beside each other they are neither together nor far
though tempted by the devils of hate
trying and trying to push it away
why hold onto memories hard?
what to gain from grudges of past?
crushing the ego in this plight
forgetting all the useless fights
rising eyes with hesitation and fervor mixed
from heavens above watch angels fixed
