He Wondered

Walking by that mile long track, lost in the horde of mortality, he saw another just like him. Lost in her tracks, trying to fathom, she looked so delicate and astounding. In one swift motion she put away those astray strands of hair. As she lifted that countenance, their eyes met.....
He stumbled on his own feet yet managed to gather quickly trying not to break that gaze. His heart throbbed like a racing horse that wins after so many defeats. His eyes dilated past their limits, his breath became heavy as if someone dropped a stone on his chest....
